The Koala or Phascolarctos cinereus is a herbivore animal that is native to Australia. Koala is easily recognizable by their tailless body and large head with round, fluffy ears, and large, spoon-shaped nose. The koala has a body length of 60–85 cm and weighs 4–15 kg. The color of this animal differs from silver gray to chocolate brown.
This unique animal inhabits the trees of Australia. They mostly eat the leaves of the tree they lived in. They are also very lazy, they can take up to 20 hours a day to sleep.
The sad part about this animal is that they are currently listed as vulnerable. This animal was hunted heavily during the 20th century for its fur. Now, sanctuaries are being built to help preserve this animal and prevent them from going extinct.
